Choosing Subreddits

Good Subreddits to Monitor

  • Product category communities: r/productivity, r/software
  • Industry-specific: r/projectmanagement, r/smallbusiness
  • Problem-focused: r/ADHD, r/getdisciplined
  • Recommendation requests: r/SuggestALaptop, r/AskReddit

Subreddits to Avoid

  • Very broad subreddits (too much noise)
  • Communities with strict self-promotion rules
  • Inactive subreddits (< 1 post/day)

Best Practices

  1. Start with 5-10 subreddits - Expand as you learn what works
  2. Balance size and relevance - Smaller niche communities often convert better
  3. Check community rules - Some subreddits prohibit promotional content
  4. Monitor activity - Focus on subreddits with high engagement
